Services for Miss Hazel Minter, 80, of 411 Airport Road in Sulphur Springs, Texas were held in Tapp Funeral Home officiated by Steve Smith. She was born on 21 August 1905 in Pine Forest, Texas. She died on 8 March 1986 in the local hospital in Sulphur Springs, Texas. She attended school in Pine Forest but graduated from High School in Denton, Texas. She attended Williams Business College in Sulphur Springs. Miss Hazel Minter worked for the City of Sulphur Springs for many years. She then became a deputy county clerk before running for the office of Hopkins County Clerk in which she was elected. Miss Minter retired from Hopkins County on 30 December 1970. She was a member of the Church of Christ and had lived for many years on Church Street. Survivors include one brother - Marlin P.J. Minter and one sister, Miss Grace Minter.
