John Thomas Minter
(1837-1866)
John Thomas Minter was the first child born to Pappy and Sarah Minter. He was 18 years old when he moved from Georgia to Texas. He served in the Civil War as a 2nd Lieutenant under his uncle, Captain Sylvanus Abner Minter. John died in August of 1866 at 29 years old. It has been believed that John died from pneumonia. His wife, Mary (Craft) Minter, who was born in 1842, died in 1920.
Joseph Thomas "Joe" Minter (b.Jan. 1866 - d. Jun 8, 1912; gravestone dates are wrong), son of John Thomas Minter (b. 1837 - d.1866) and Mary (Craft) Minter (b.1842 - d.1920). The year Joe died, three other Minters also passed away: Joe's wife, Joanna (Turner) Minter; Joe's great uncle, Captain Sylvanus Abner Minter; and, the young son of Guy Z. Minter, Guy Forrest Minter.

Thomas Jackson Minter (b.1931) is the son of Olvis J. Minter (b.1904 - d.1970) and Lottie Lucille (Jennings) Minter (b.1913 - d.2012).
Lottie Lucille (Jennings) Minter (b.1913 - d.2012), pictured above, married Olvis J. Minter (b.1904 - d.1970). Together they had two children, Thomas J. Minter (b.1931) and Betty Lou (Minter) Gaetz (b.1935 - d.2015).
Bett Lou (Minter) Gaetz (b.1935 - d. 2015) was the second child and daughter of Olvis J. Minter (b.1904 - d.1970) and Lottie Lucille (Jennings) Minter (b.1913 - d.2012).
Thomas J. Minter (b.1931) and Mary Earle (Wood) Hood (b.1925 - d.2014), daughter of Rose (Minter) Wood (b.1900 - d. 1949). Rose was the daughter of Joseph T. "Joe" and Josephine "Joanna" (Turner) Minter. This picture was taken at the Minter Reunion of 1999.
