John Robert Minter, Sr.
(1820-1903)
John Robert Minter, Sr., son of John Morgan Minter and Dorothy Brooks (Mathis) Minter, was born in Putnam, Marion County, Georgia on May 1, 1820. He married Mary Ann Rebecca McGough on December 8, 1848 in Monroe, Georgia. John and Mary Ann had seven children together. Mary Ann died on June 25, 1871. John remarried in 1873 to Mary Matilda (Lowe) Minter and they had three children.
Samuel Smith Monk, Sr. (b.1851 - d.1922), was married to Martha Matilda (Minter) Monk (b.1851 - d.1921). Together they had seven children.
Martha Minter (Monk) Beasley (b.1922 - d.1999) was a Minter researcher and a member of The Daughters of the American Revolution. She is the daughter of Samuel Smith Monk, Jr. (b.1889 - d.1958) and Martha Matilda (Minter) Monk (b.1881 -d.1921).
Oliver Hunter Minter (b.1880 - d.1955) was born in Buena Vista, GA and married Bramie Elizabeth (Andrews) Minter. Oliver was the son of John Robert Minter, Sr. (b.1820 - d.1903) and Mary Matilda (Lowe) Minter (b.1839 - d.1916). Oliver and Bramie had three children together: John Robert Minter, Mary Margene (Minter) Estes, and Franklin Moore Minter.
Photos above are of Samuel and Martha Monk's eldest daughter, Annie Rebecca (Monk) Clark. Annie married William Alexander Clark in 1902. Together they had four children: Mary, Robert, William, and Emily.

Martha Minter Monk's husband, Thomas Edward Beasley, Sr. (b.1920 - d. 1999).
Deborah Elizabeth (Hutchinson) Schueler (b.1966 - d.2020) was the daughter of Elizabeth (Minter) Hutchinson. Elizabeth was the granddaughter of Oliver Hunter Minter. Deborah married James Thomas "Tommy" Schueler, Jr.(b.1964) in 1987 and they had two sons, John Tyler Schueler (b.1986) and James Harrison Schueler (b.1987).
